4PX Safe Drop Service Terms and Conditions

4PX Safe Drop Service refers to the service that allows customers (you, your) to authorize 4PX (we, us, our) to leave a parcel in a safe place at the address without signature if no one is home. A photo will be taken of where the parcel has been delivered and you can check it via SMS which is sent to the receiver’s number.

If you choose to use the 4PX Safe Drop Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, accept and comply with these terms and conditions.

  1. General
    1. You are fully aware of the risks of leaving your parcel in a safe place on your property.
    2. We will not require a signature for delivery and our drivers will leave the parcel in a safe place at your address if no one is home. You agree that the parcel is deemed ‘delivered’ when left at your premises.
    3. 4PX will strictly follow the delivery instructions of 4PX Safe Drop Service. Our drivers will consider whether the environment or situation of the delivery address meets Safe Drop standards and they have the sole discretion to determine whether to leave the parcel or not. If the address is inaccessible or visible to the street, or with no protection from the weather, even if you choose Safe Drop Service, our drivers will take the parcel back to our depot.     4. To the fullest extent permitted by law (including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and subject to these Terms and Conditions, 4PX shall not be liable to you or any other person for any loss or damage (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) which may be suffered as a result of any act or omission in relation to the parcel including, but not limited to:
      1. Theft of a parcel after delivery; or
      2. Damage to a parcel caused by weather, animals or another person after a parcel has been left on your property;

      Unless such loss or damage is a direct result of fraud or willful misconduct on our part.

  2. How to authorize 4PX to leave the parcel in a safe place
    1. We will inform you of the delivery of your parcel via SMS, which gives you an option to select how your parcel is to be delivered on the day of delivery including:
      1. Leave it in a safe place at your address if no one is home.
      2. Someone is at home. It’s required to collect a signature on delivery.
    2. If you choose 4PX Safe Drop Service and there is a safe place at your address, you are required to reply “Y” or “y” or “Yes” or “YES” or “yes” within 15 mins after receiving the SMS. Only “Y” “y” “Yes” “YES” “yes” could be identified in our automated systems. No reply or any other keywords or voice calls will be considered as an election not to use the 4PX Safe Drop Service.
    3. If our driver has already passed over and left your address by the time the driver received your reply, the delivery is considered failed and our driver will take the parcel back to the depot. For the next delivery request, you need to contact with 4PX customer service online.
  3. Availability of Safe Drop
    1. Generally, a free-standing property that is set back from the street is best suited for us to leave a parcel. Parcels will only be left at the front of the property in a place that is not visible from the street and is out of the weather. If size allows, this includes the letterbox.
    2. Locations that are generally not suitable for us to leave a parcel to include:
      1. Addresses where there is high foot traffic
      2. Addresses where the property is close to the street
      3. Apartments that are not accessible for delivery
      4. Apartment mail rooms where no one is in attendance
      5. Locations where there is no protection from weather or pets
      6. The driver feels that the parcel will be unsafe due to other factors (for example, there were many people gathered near your property at the time of delivery)
